New publication - reprint of WM Hardy's Wave Action on Our Coast
This book comprises a facsimile of William Masters Hardy's book 'Wave Action on our Coast' first published in 1911. The foreword is written by his great-great granddaughter and compliments the publication of his notebooks in 'William Master's Hardy - 'A Rambling Sketch of my Life 1836-1921'.
The style is engaging and introduces the reader to the power of the sea through the actions of the Sea Giant and the Atmospheric King.

Another WM Hardy book - Wave Action of Our Coast
We are putting together a facsimile of William Masters Hardy's book Wave Action on our Coast, published in 1911. Some items in this book refer to events he recorded in his memoirs, which we included in our last Blurb book.
The extract below includes WMH's views on towns that discharged raw sewage directly into the sea.
The facsimile will be able to be purchased online through Blurb by late March.
The extract below includes WMH's views on towns that discharged raw sewage directly into the sea.
"....I think that my readers will agree with me when I say that the
inhabitants of a city, borough, or town that discharges crude
sewage into the sea around our coast, especially in bays like
Studland, Swanage, Durlston, and Chapman's Pool, are
guilty of a crime, a public wrong against the sea and the land,
against humanity, and the fish in the sea. Therefore, it is
essential for the benefit and prosperity of any town situated
on the coast, that the sea and foreshore should be kept
absolutely pure."
The facsimile will be able to be purchased online through Blurb by late March.

TMH - Thomas Masters Hardy
Having published the memoirs of William Masters Hardy we have now started to edit two notebooks kept by Annelise's grandfather, Thomas Masters Hardy.
The notebooks were written whilst TMH was serving in the Great War. He was in the RNAS, later the RAF working on the early aircraft, initially at Chingford Airfield where he was an Air Mechanic 1st class where his skills he used his skills as a trained cabinet maker.
One notebook includes notes and drawing used as training for the construction, maintenance and repair of the wooden framed airframes of the iconic aircraft built by Sopwith, Maurice Farman, Caudron, De Haviland, Avro etc. Two drawings are reproduced below -
We shall be reproducing the notebook as a facsimile to retain its period quality.
The book will be edited and published through the online services of Blurb again and then possibly as an ibook for ipad.
