Salt Making at The Dock Museum, Barrow in Furness 9th Sept, 2018

We were asked to stage a salt making demonstration at the opening to the 'Hidden Histories' exhibition staged at the Dock Museum, Barrow in Furness by the Morecambe Bay Partnership. Funded by the HLF the exhibition looks as the heritage of Morecambe Bay.
We gave a lecture in 2016 at the start of the project about the different processes of salt making that have been recorded in the area. This was published in the Landscape Trust's magazine Keer to Kent, Spring 2016 - Separating the Salt from the Sand.
Part of the exhibition features the research of Jonathan Cass who spent time looking through probate documents that related to the salt industry.
